Welcome to Shoot for the Stars: Going After your Dreams with Confidence! My name is Amber Ferry, and I am currently Miss Linn County 2008. It has been my dream and pursuit for the last two years to go into schools and build self-confidence into the student generation. I have been to many different classrooms and have reached over 1,000 children through this program. I believe in the power of choice, and the power of will. I enjoy helping people see the silver lining in the clouds, and to work after going towards their dreams. My program is changable to fit with ceremonies, a classroom, a gym, and ages from preschoolers, all the way to highschoolers. I do a variety of teaching creative drama lessons, creative dance lessons, or the confidence program. I teach creative drama with the Sturgis Youth Theater in Cedar Falls, Ia and do occasional classes with a Kindergarten class. These classes focus on expanding the use of your body to tell a story, and explain yourself. Also great as a learning tool such as adjectives, or getting to know other people. Games included vary on age, but help each person find what they can do, and find that they can stretch themselves to try something new. |  |
