 | My name is Amber Ferry, I am 19 years old and currently live in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I am a sophomore Theater for Youth Major at the University of Northern Iowa. My plan is to eventually start an afterschool program teaching creative drama. I would love to be able to do this and link theater to what the kids are learning in schools. In the spring and this summer I will be teaching Kindergarten with the Sturgis Youth Theater. I am Miss Linn County 2008 and my platform is Shoot for the Stars: Going After your Dreams with Confidence. I believe in this platform with all that I have and want to share it with as many people as possible. I will compete for Miss Iowa in June of 2009 and look forward to making Linn County proud. I am currently engaged to the man of my dreams who is also a fellow theater major here at UNI. He occasionally comes and teaches theater with me at a local elementary school. I have one fish named Hercules, although he doesn't lift very much, and does not live with me anymore. |
